What would the Kollwitz Museum be without the artist’s family? Over the years since its foundation, the collection and its scholarly processing have received diverse and generous support from Käthe Kollwitz’s descendants. To this day, they are frequent and welcome guests at the museum.
Just recently, they entrusted the Cologne Kollwitz Collection with this early self-portrait on permanent loan – an extraordinary pastel drawing from the family estate.
