The Rüdenhof in Moritzburg - the place where Käthe Kollwitz died
Käthe Kollwitz spent the last months of her life at the Rüdenhof in Moritzburg near Dresden. There she died on April 22, 1945.
The building was reconstructed on the initiative of the Kreissparkasse Köln, the savings bank that operates the Käthe Kollwitz Museum, under monument preservation aspects. The German Foundation for Monument Protection, the Free State of Saxony and the municipality of Moritzburg were involved. Since 1995 the memorial has been open to the public as the Käthe Kollwitz House.

Your admission - a solidarity contribution for Moritzburg
The Kreissparkasse Köln supports the Käthe Kollwitz Haus by charging admission to the Käthe Kollwitz Museum Köln since 1994 - a solidarity contribution by visitors to the memorial in Moritzburg.
